Traveling in Italy in late June? Make sure you’re in Rome on the 29th!

This post is a few weeks behind, what with the moving and job-hunting. BUT one of the best events I can recommend in Italy happens every year on the 29th of June in Rome. It’s the Festa di San Pietro e Paolo!! The Feast of the Patron Saints of Rome, Peter and Paul. The Feast day is celebrated by fireworks from the Castel Sant’Angelo, and it is marvelous. The castle and the Tiber make for a stunning setting, that will easily ruin most fireworks shows for you in the future, but it is absolutely worth it.
