The Carmo Convent right in the heart of Lisbon is one of the loveliest, most spectacular churches/museums I’ve ever seen. A Medieval Gothic church that was ruined in the 1755 earthquake, the ruins were left up, which means you can see the stunning Gothic skeleton with blue sky above you. And despite it being late May (prime tourist season) and mid-morning when we visited, it was nearly empty. Good job Lisbon, good job.
Mmm. Gorgeous photos.
Thanks! It’s a gorgeous place!
