Ferrying to another Continent: the Asian side of Istanbul!

On our way!
On our way!

While walking down İstiklâl Caddesi and seeing all its crowds and street art  was definitely one of the highest highlights of my time in Istanbul, another hugely great part was taking the ferry over to the Asian side of the city. We wandered around, got coffee (twice, obviously), and had some food. We even sent our postcards (because we’re old-school like that. Give it a try, the recipient(s) will be DELIGHTED) from the Asian side so they would come from especially far away. There were WAY fewer tourists in that neighborhood, but the areas we walked in were so vibrant. Istanbul is such a lively city, it’s amazing. And let me just say that the ferry was another instance of public transit in Istanbul working seamlessly. Everything was on time and it wasn’t confusing and it was clean and there were plenty of places to sit. Good job Istanbul, good job. I am definitely coming back to see you again.

Is there a better skyline than Istanbul's? I think not.
